WordMetr is built with privacy in mind. All processing happens locally in your browser — no text is transmitted, stored, or shared with any external servers.
Information We Process
When you use our online word counter and character counter, your text is processed in memory only to calculate:
- Word, character, sentence, and paragraph counts
- Estimated reading time
- Optional downloadable summaries for your personal use
This data never leaves your device. Once you close or refresh the page, all data is automatically cleared.
Cookies and Analytics
WordMetr does not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics, or advertising scripts. We may collect anonymous, non-identifiable feedback only when you voluntarily contact us or submit a form.
Third-Party Services
Fonts and static assets may be served from trusted sources such as Google Fonts or CDN providers. These services never receive or process your text data.
Data Retention
Because all processing occurs locally, WordMetr does not retain, store, or access any user content. Any exported or downloaded files remain under your control on your own device.
